Zones
There are four zones of the city, each surrounding the Metro Axial.
Metro Axial: The largest and most heavily populated part. It is the heart of Janlea. Skyscrapers are one after another, and the streets are always backed with traffic. It is the part of the city that never sleeps. Wealthy business owners live here most commonly and many political events are held here.
Waterside Zone: A slender zone located between the Metro Axial and Residence Zone. It travels along the large river that divides the two. There are many small markets located here and many art festivals are held here.
Residence Zone: Across the river are the suburbs. Mostly middle class citizens live here. Expect to see houses, houses, and more houses, along with several parks and recreational locations.
Lucent Zone: It provide a vast majority of the energy for all the zones. This is where new ideas, innovations, and breakthroughs happen. Fashion trends, the newest gadgets, most up-to-date books on theory, etc...
Acreage Zone: Furthest from the heart of the city. From the hills here, the Axial is but a line on the horizon. Farms, wind turbines, and rolling hills make up a vast majority of this zone.

The Keystone crux
The force that protects the city of crime and mishaps. Today, it seems that it is easier to join if you are a Deviant. Anyone is welcomed to apply for the job, but before you are even looked at as a possibility you must first complete a written test, followed by a physical and mental test. Once you complete all three you will be mailed your score and informed whether or not you may officially apply for the job or not.
Above is the emblem of the KC (thanks to the astounding Mania) and each member carries one with them as well as their badge of ranking.
The pentagon shape represents the Metro Axial, as it is the center of the city. The inner shape that looks like a jug represents a keystone. The Southern Cross, otherwise known as the Crux constellation, represents Crux. The fact that the keystone is touching all the sides of Metro Axial represents how it holds up the whole city.
A keystone is the last center, topmost, stone of an archway that holds the whole structure up. Without it the whole structure would fall and not exist. Crux means the most valued and important part. It is an honor to work as one.

Deviants
Though the term Deviant was said to be dropped, it is still used as a derogatory term by many. The term "Cruxie" has been more easily adopted as the common slang word. It's picked up popularity in pop culture as well.
Immortals
Immortals are a true rarity. During the warring period, the research branch was attempting to create a deathless soldier. They succeeded, in some way, but before the final touches could be solidified, the case was dropped and destroyed. It was never brought to it's full potential. Hardly anyone knows of their existence, the exception being the Chief of the KC and the rank of Wolves.
Captors
They are located outside city limits and are aware that affects of the war experiments remain within a small percentage of humans. They believe the KC is abusing their powers to rise to power and fret that war and violence will become of it. They strive to capture and kill all of those with deviant nature.
